For women: Vaginal fistulas and menstruation

I have a question for women who've had vaginal fistulas: Do you ever bleed out of your rectum at the same time you have vaginal bleeding?

I'm not diagnosed with anything yet, but I've now had this a few times. I read that the bleeding could be hemorrhoids, but it just seems to me like there's a LOT of blood. And the blood coming out of my butt looks the same as what's coming out the other end. So I think maybe it's menstrual blood that's made its way to my rectum?

I get this happen with a period too. I've never worried about it but check with your doctor if you're concerned.
