I just had my fourth Remicade infusion yesterday and it went well. I was at ten weeks instead of eight due to being on antibiotics. The last two weeks I have been utterly exhausted, and I already feel a bit better today :)

My blood pressure(which runs low) did go lower during transfusion but other than feeling quite tired and my hands being kind of numb last night, everything went well.

My next one is in May and my dr. will determine after that treatment if he will put in a seton drain or not, so fingers crossed that the fistula(s) are healed by then :)

hi jo,
my blood pressure always goes low too but I think its the Benadryl that does it not the remicade. the Benadryl always makes me feel drunk too which is a bonus as I can no longer drink!!!lol
I don't have fistulas but I hope they heal up for you soon.
good luck
ju

Hi Ju,

I don't actually get the benadryl, but I did some googling lol It said one of the possible side effects was low blood pressure.

I can't drink anymore either, maybe I should ask for the benadryl LOL

Thanks for your reply :) Jo

Glad things went well Jo - yes, the Remicade can cause the BP to lower..... although I had mine JUMP a while back the day after the infusion.....which was really strange (probably should have gone to the ER that day but oh well).....

Heading to my next infusion in just under an hour!
