Is there anyone that haven't tried this yet? I'm not talking about getting it from the basic food you eat daily. I've been trying a Hacho Miso soybean product that has been aged for 3 years before its put out for sale to the public. Comes in a small red bag. Teaspoon of it and not so hot water every day. Its working like the probiotics had worked for me and I've been doing good. I don't get that powerful urge to use the bathroom and I usually go once a day.
This is the only thing I'm using and eating, I would say anything.

And I wanted to know do you get the urges to urinate all of a sudden? I'm thinking its because maybe I'm drinking too much water. I had this problem before, it seems to go away but comes back every now and then. It could be because its summer and I'm drinking often. I don't know if IBD affects the bladder.

Only problems I have now is that my stomach somethings hurt and usually I can tell its gas (diet thing i guess).
The bladder thing. Somethings it stops but again builds up and I have to go.

I was on Hydrocortisone enema but stopped it after two weeks. Side effects was burning feeling on my face where acne show up due to the product like prednisone.
When I came off it bleeding and diarrhea came back, took two more bottles and that was it due to the side effects. Also swollen eye shut three times when I was on it.

I tried soy products for a bit, but found my tummy didn't really care for them, and I hav eno issues with dairy.... so I stick to dairy...lol.

However, to comment on the water intake and urinating... yes, if you drink more water, you will pee more! LMAO!!

OK, seriously though, a lot of us with chronic "diarrhea" or just loose/frequent stools sometimes find, especially if we don't drink enough water, that we don't urinate much, because there is no water to pass through the kidneys. :)

However, you mention that your BMs have slowed down (possibly due to this soybean product) and that you have increased your water intake... and you know what I found, personally?!?! If I drink more water (ie the 1-2 liters a day recommended), I have less BMs and feel WAY better!

Of course, you do urinate more if you drink more water, but I think this is a good thing (to an extent) as you need to flush out your kidneys so you don't get kidney stones and such. So I am starting to think maybe by increasing water intake, we kind of "redirect" the water so it goes through the kidneys better, and less "waste" out the bowels (which, if there is less water in the bowel, one would get less dirrhea/frequency of BMs).....

So I don't have any answers to your question... hard to say what is or isn't working... but keep us informed! Let us know how it works for you!

Cheers!

I love miso soup, in uk we can buy a sachet with wakame seaweed (original taste sensation). theres loads of recipes on t'internet ( i normally have it with spring onions and glass noodles), heard its nice with ginger and tofu.

Got some miso paste as well which is awesome on salmon (marinade it for an hr then grill)

Got to say i always feel like i need to go to the toilet, as said its better to drink more than needed than less

I don't do soy- but that confusion as to what's going on I DO- gas? stomach pain? heaviness from the need to bm (D) , cramps? Jeeze.

Yeah some people can't consume soy beans. I was taking it and notice it was made from soy beans and I was like oh no! but I'm ok with soy beans.
Urinating problem I think it was due to either me taking a lot of water or i just had the piss runs lol it went away after a week.

It is better to drink more then less water.

Well so far now I continue to take a teaspoon of it, the water I'm not drinking as much because I'm not taking a lot of pills anymore.
I only take 4 pentasa pills twice a day and skipped my GI clinic appointment. I'm coming off pentasa slowly and hope to not waste money and time on doctors.
I would say I'm in remission with no pains and just going once a day. And it comes out normally lol.

I just recommend a product rich in friendly bacteria.
I will check out that wakame seaweed.
My brother had something that was seaweed or had something to do with it, it was natural, dry and very green and thin, i think it was seaweed. People in Japan eat it a lot and it was rich in something... I have to ask him about it.

What is the name of the product in the red bag? I want to try to find it in my local Asian grocery. Thanks
