Actually last night he was really stuffed up and had some congestion but this morning he seemed to be fine and was doing his circles while I was preparing his food (He gets excited!!) I am going to see how he is later tonight but if he starts up again I am going to take him into the vet.
Thank you for asking :)

is that some kind of fancy liquor... sure is! :)

Awww, Jenn, what a little sweetie your pup is! I love the tongue, LOL.

Lol He has no teeth left....The rest of them just got pulled last March...He tries his best to keep his toungue in his mouth, but when he is relaxed he just lets it out!!

Aww, twas easy he loves running about like a mad thing and jumping onto trees like that so I just got the camera into auto and blitzed away.

Cool shot of the jumping puppy Beth!
And JJ - Rico's tongue has GOT to be the longest for a little puppy that size!

Crazy kitty in a doll stroller.

hahahahah ... great pics MBH. The first one just kind of made me chuckle, but the last one had me just laughing. She looks like she's saying "I know where you sleep lady. I WILL get you back for this." hahaha

We used to roll it and put it on my cats paws. haha Mean. We also used to put peanut butter on the end of his nose. Natural instinct is to lick it off. haha I'm sure you can see the rest. Then again my sister and I did put baby doll socks on him once too. hahahahaahhah it was funny.

Here's an old picture of my dog (the one in the back) and my mom's dog (who is now full grown and very chunky :))

My Furbaby :)

Finally! I have made the effort to upload a photo of my baby so I can share it with you all.

This is Muppet. When I moved into my house a few years back I had another cat (sadly deceased now) and he wouldn't stay inside even on the first night, so I put a basket in the back porch for him. When I got up in the morning THIS fellow was sitting smugly in the basket all dirty and stinky and scruffy (still had all his boy parts). Did a lot of asking around the neighbourhood and turned out he was definately a stray. So, I guess I had to keep him!
I was on the waiting list for an Abyssinian at the time and ended up with this big hairy mutt. However, he has turned out to be the BEST cat ever! He is very cuddly and smoochy, but if you are another cat - watch out! He's the big bully of the neighbourhood.

Anyway, here he is:

Great Picture Derrick....When do we ge to see you;)...(Wait a minute are you Santa?...I can't wait to tell my kids I know Santa in cyber space kinda way.)

Aw Wiles!! Are those Cavaliers? I have *really* wanted one for years now - but the hubby only wants "manly" dogs. They are adorable!

Shaz - you kittie looks like a big love mooch! I bet he is great!

Great pics Derrick - did you have that taken at the "puppy mall" or something?

I'd forgotten about this thread. I've taken some more brill piccies of Jake.... wonder if you're allowed to post multiple photos of your own furbaby?!

Oh Shaz - he's so cute and manly!!! :ylol:

I can just see him sitting there in the basket, all proud of himself LOL

Manly? Yes. Cute? I doubt he was every cute, even as a kitten! But I do love him so. Best cat I've ever had apart from the odd psychotic episode which involves me having to unpick him from my face - I've learned to know when it's coming now and arm myself with a cushion!

Thank goodness for our furbabies :) I'd be lost without all the cuddles I get from mine.

Oh and Beth, put as many pics of your baby up as you like. Or maybe in the photography thread. I'm always keen to look at other's pics :)

Shaz I didn't even see your heman cat - He looks like the protector of the house. He isn't cute he is handsome.

Thanks derrick, but he really isn't handsome (except to me) I am just a most excellent photographer. He is the neighbourhood thug and looks it!

Cute furball Dan....wish I could sleep like that!

BETH - Jake is adorable!! He has two different colored eyes too - freaky!! He looks like he is saying "Hey - just in case you didn't know - you are my master and I LOVE YOU!" - hee hee.....

That's his enigmatic look! - Hurrumph, not more pictures.

Edit: Oh yes, and the two different colour eyes is a Border Collie thing. Called a Wall Eye apparently. Many people think he's blind in that eye but he isn't.

Actually Peaches they aren't as hard work as people often believe. I wouldn't go leaving a BC whilst I went out to work as they do get bored - that's why Jake was handed in to rescue and hence came to live with us. He normally gets 2 x 1mile walk each day, plus whatever fuss in the day he wants. Then occasionally he gets a Big Walk over the fens for typically 10miles. But occasionally he had only had one walk round the park in a day and just been shown the garden a few times so he could do whatever he needed to do, because we were ill or whatever. And he's been no problem. It's really the mental stimulation and presence of us about he wants.

Of course, I have met the completely mental BC who only want to play ball, or stick, or both! And I get the impression that the dog is boss, not the human.

I used to get holistic treatments every Friday afternoon for several years (geez, I miss those!) and the woman lived out in the country down a dirt road. At the head of the dirt road lived two BC's and their job was to "gate" the road. So - every single time I would pull into the road - they would get into the very middle of the road and crouch down and bark and stimey around. I would just go really really slow and it seemed like I was going to run over them every time -but they would just slide out of the way sideways as I passed. Drove me NUTS because I would just die if I ever hurt them. She had to explain to me that they are herding dogs and they were probably just trying to "herd" my car LOL!!

Yup, that's BC's for you! Jake is very interested in cars, he'll bite them if they start up when he's alongside. He also loves going in the truck - it's very exciting and requires at least two steps backwards and running into the kitchen and the back hallway to tell the shadows there he's going in the truck!
Ah BC's are the best :)

Bump for the newbies!

I *swear* I'm coming back as my cat!!! This is how he spent "snow day" at our house after he came back in shivering......

I'd like to introduce everyone to my best pal, Java. No matter how down I am, he is always there to make me smile !

Thanks Ris sorry I just worked out I had put the link in wrong but anyhoo have fixed it now so the photo show up without having to actually click on the link.

They are great alternatives to kids and more then I can handle at the moment. Gert is crazy as she has sooo much energy but at least with Ernie being there it keeps her out of trouble most of the time!! :)

I must have missed your post. They are cavaliers, my parents have three of them and my cav is living with them while I'm at university.

Here's a more recent image of the gang.

Love that last one gurgle - he looks really guilty!
Amazing to have a dog that is musical too :)

Shaz and Ris....thanks ! Shaz, love your kitty. I had cats growing up and they always went on "tactics" at least once a day. I remember them doing some crazy things like climbing on screen doors and windows. And I love your pups too Ris. Pretty sure the little one is a Beagle but not sure ....is your other dog an English Bull Dog ? They look like best buds. Java curls up in a ball between my legs and I took the third photo when he woke up from his nap. He was like... hey, paparazzi - go away ! Also, Java plays the piano to let me know his water bowl is empty. I have video of him doing this but it's too large to post. Here are a couple of additional photos. - Kevin

Love that first one Kevin, is Java doberman? If so, I always thought they were quite scary dogs? Tho apparantly so are Staffies and they are my favourites :) I tell ya, these animals of ours really do provide sanity!

Well its time I put some up of my man Jager. He is a 2yr old Boxer, and my best buddy! And no he isnt just named for the booze :p Boxers aparently were German hunting dogs and I guess the German word for hunter is Jager, But I do love a shot of Jagermeister a little bit too much!! :p

You have a handsome dog, Fog! I love boxers, my grandparents had a wonderful pair of them when I was young. They seem like a great breed.

Thanks Shaz. Java is a Manchester Terrier who is about 23 lbs/10.5 kg soaking wet. He is a little angel with a heart of gold. If anyone were to break into my house he would hide under the covers or lick their face.:)

You have to figure out how to put up some pics on that dam iphone, so we can see pics! :)

Gurgle - he really looks like a doberman! I love how some of the scariest looking dogs are often the biggest wimps!

Nxy - cute kitty :)

Well the last few of weeks have been a pretty emotional roller coaster. The other weekend Jake was suddenly taken ill and died within a few hours.

The house was so quiet and bereft of doggy that this week we've been to the local rescue centre and ended up adopting these two little softies:

Jack
w.dsc_3867.jpg

Jessie
w.dsc_3869.jpg

Only picked them up a few hours ago and they're settling in gradually. One is crashed out in the kitchen, and one in the living room with us.

They look like they're going to be alot of fun. Enjoy the new babies. Sorry about your loss of Jake. We lost one of ours a couple months ago. She was the oldest. Still have four others though. Never a dull moment around here. I like to call them my entourage, they follow me everywhere. I wouldn't know what to do w/o them though. Could do w/o all the shedded hair.

Lily is my 5 year old cat who came with the houseswap! We have bonded deeply and she is always there for me, she will even settle down in the bathroom with me if I have a night attack, so lovely and she is great company.

You need to upload the photo to a hosting site like flickr or piccasa if you dont already have an account somewhere and then use the icons above the message edit box to insert the right tags.

Love this post! Great to know there are other people that call their pets their furbabies!
Although I can't figure out how to upload a picture yet, I have 4 whom I love to pieces.
A 9 year old Beagle who is the apple of my eye, my year old kitty, 4 year old rabbit, and 8 year old horse. Had all of them since they were 0-6 weeks of age.
