Hello everyone!
I am one of those, I suppose, "fortunate" Crohn's sufferers that had constipation instead of diarrhea. Well, that has reversed now that my gallbladder was removed. I think that it is called "Postchoecystectomy Syndrome" and it is making my life a living hell. I'm not sure that I'll be able to live a normal life ever again, and the pain and vomiting/diarrhea after eating *anything* makes me want to eat nothing at all... in fact I have simply no appetite and lost 10 pounds in the week following the procedure.
My problem is this: My GI doctor is claiming that these are all "normal" Crohn's symptoms, and that there is nothing he can do to help me. I'm on Humira at the moment, and i've tried pentasa in the past...
I do know that extreme weight loss can cause gallstones and the need for a gallbladder removal in some people- and since Crohn's causes weight loss, well... anyone here experienced this? Any thoughts?
