Hi there

I wonder if anyone has been in a similar position to mine and offer advice...

I had a balloon dilation for a stricture caused by scarring approx 1 month ago and was advised to start to try to move back to a normal diet from a strict low residue diet (I had had 2 hospital admissions for partial obstructions in the last 5 months)

So now Christmas is over and I am more than a little scared about widening my diet again! any tips on where to start/ if my fears are unfounded etc v welcome

thank you,

Emma

Hi,

I also have had several dilations and all went well. So hopefully this will help you out to.

As for diet, I try and keep to things that I know I can digest easily and avoid the obvious. ie, Nuts, Mushrooms, Fiberous Veg (Broccolli, Cauliflower) Corn.

And always remember to chew! I know it sounds obvious, but it really does help!

Thank you! You have given me faith that this will all work and chewing is definitely a top tip ( I am attempting to reform myself from being practically a food gulper!)

Cheers, Emma
