I had a really good appointment yesterday with the Specialist Nurse and just wanted to say thanks for the advice I've been given and knowledge I've acquired from this site.

Following a post last week, I was feeling stuck in Limbo with a docs app for October and feeling worse and worse.

So end result is that it seems I have Crohn's (illeitis). Although biopsies inconclusive my inflammation is in patches; it's worse in the illeum area; biopsy results showed granumolas (I'm not sure this is right word) were found.

It is a relief to know they found something and I'm not losing the plot. I explained my symptoms and fact I feel like I'm just coasting through but I don't feel well so she is trying me on Entocort. If it doesn't improve she said to blast me with Pred to give me a chance to feel better. I'm back to her in 4 weeks and a real positive is she is changing my specialist so I'll see them shortly too.

So I just wanted to say a big thanks because I fear that if I hadn't used this forum I'd have waiting until October. So fingers crossed the Entocort does the trick and maybe I'll feel 'normal'?!

What's normal? All I hope for is that you start feeling BETTER. I'm glad the forum helped you a lot. Waiting till Oct. would have been a terrible thing to do.

The word you meant was, granuloma (Pronunciation: gran-u-LO-muh) - A granuloma is a tiny lump of inflamed tissue in the body. It is called "granuloma" because it looks like a grain of sand or sugar. Sometimes granulomas can be seen on an x-ray. To confirm the diagnosis, a tissue sample (biopsy) is taken and examined with a microscope. http://rarediseases.about.com/od/medicalterms/g/granuloma.htm

Glad you got some answers and hope the entocort does indeed start to make you feel better!
