I thought I would pass along something that has helped my daughter deal with nausea from taking Imuran. I know Crohn's sufferers deal with nausea from the disease itself too, so this would work for anyone. It is a product called "ginger tummydrops". They sell them on Amazon. She was taking Zofran for the nausea, but it interacted with another medicine she is on. She said these ginger tummydrops work nearly as well for her. They do have a bit of a spicy taste, but she says they are well worth it. I hope this helps someone else.

I began taking ginger years ago twice a day, but i still get tummy aches, sad! After I eat usually. But not all the time. I never know when it will hit me. I threw up yesterday after eating agg sandwich and had to turn around and go back home.:((

I am sorry; I know that is miserable! My daughter had tried taking ginger root capsules, but those took longer to digest and often upset her stomach unless she had eaten, which when you are nauseated you don't want to do. She said these tummydrops work quickly and she doesn't have to eat first. I wanted to share her luck with these because I know how miserable the nausea can be. :(

Thanks. I take Zofran now but would love a natural alternative b

My daughter had been taking Zofran too, but she started Nortriptyline as a migraine preventive and the Zofran interacted. She said someone on Amazon's website said they sell them at Natural Grocers. They have stores all over the place and she said they are $5 there instead of $10.99 on Amazon, according to the Amazon review she read. I think we will check them out. Here is there website:

Did she ever try ginger tea kem53? I'm just wondering if the drops are better (clearly less to hold down) or if the tea works just as well. Thanks. :)

No, she hasn't tried tea yet because the drops have been so convenient. She said she literally is no longer nauseated before she is even done with the drop. She said it also helps with dizziness and motion sickness to. She was recently diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (on top of having Crohn's) so she has a double wammy in terms of nausea.

The website says they also donate 5% to CCFA and a celiac org. That's awesome. I'm sold if I find it at whole foods.

I have found ginger jellies (candy like) and also crystallised ginger takes away the nausea.
The makers of Gravol also make ginger capsules for travel sickness.
The jellied ginger is my preference and easy to take and it acts fairly quickly.
