going to Nepal with crohns?

Do you think it's safe for us to migrate, me , dh and 2 girls to Nepal? i suffer from crohns and my daughter also [the older one]... i'm afraid not to get the necessary medical help but we need to go there for business, my hubby's business.. what should i do?? i've looked on the net and only found an empty pharmacy directory for nepal at http://www.drugdelivery.ca/xx-NP-12-A-xx/Rapti-Pharmacy.aspx .. what do you think??

Traveling with Crohn's is never easy. But if it's necessary, here are some tips I learned from my travel:

- Always take enough supply of the meds you need with you. Check before hand if there is any good hospital there, and contact the GI department to make sure there are good doctors and that the meds you need are available

- Make sure you only eat home cooked food or packaged food. Drink only bottled water.

- Check what infectious diseases are in the country and how to protect yourself from them. If you are taking steroids or immunosuppressives ask your doctor before taking any vaccination

Wish you good luck.

also i would make sure of what medications you are allowed in the country, some countries are pretty strict on what they class as legal

All of the above, plus when traveling with meds, make sure they are in the original containers, bearing your name, and the name of the prescribing physican & pharmcy.
My limited knowledge of Nepal is that it's controlled by China, the capital is Katmandu
and the former 'head' of the country was referred to as the 'Nizam of Nepal' (I think).
As for availability of hospitals, doctors, treatment.. I haven't a clue. The other, none crohns thing I WOULD check is whether your country has diplomatic ties, a consel or embassy there.... IF not, then I would seriously reconsider travelling there, FYI, OK?
