Hi all,
I have read through much of this forum and am amazed at how lucky I am.
I have had crohns for a very long time but compared to what some of you have endured I can only count myself as very fortunate. I've had one surgery and spend a lot of time wondering where the closest toilet is and my flares usually consist of feeling sick in the morning but by and large I feel very humble.
Fair play to all of you.
Having said that I think I have a fistula, I have some unexplained clear leakage and blood showing. It doesn't hurt and I feel ok but it is proving troublesome and has a strange smell which is bothering me. My GP couldn't say but has referred me to the gastro dept and I am waiting for an appointment. This is all new to me.
On a lighter note and totally unrelated to IBD I became a Grandfather last week and everything pales compared to the joy of holding him, what a delight.
He comes with the bonus of him being quite often smellier than I am, which is good, and I am admiring his Huggies and wondering wether they can be utilized in some way, they do look a little bit small though and I expect his need is greater than mine.
Andy
