So what has happened is...

2010 I began getting ill around September. As it affected school life for the next several months, it was obvious that I needed to see a doctor and go to the hospital.

I finally get sent to the hospital around April 2011.. by then, my symptoms have calmed down.

2011 in September for the next several months, i'm even more ill. I just recently been told I will be hearing from the hospital in the next two weeks, and i'm feeling better.

It's really frustrating because i'll go in to remission soon so the hospital won't find anything, then it'll be a waste of time, then I get discharged from hospital, and then at the end of 2012 i'll be even more ill than now, then go to hospital, feel better, get discharged... and so on!

It's frustrating. Tasha! Just stay ill until they find out what is wrong!!

Anyone else had this problem? I guess from writing this post, i've realised I am better in the summer than the colder months.. and I get seen by the hospital in the warmer months of the year when I feel better!

Edit and Update - I've just got a letter from the hospital. They want to see me in March! I'll be fine by then :(((

Sorry you have had to wait a long time I waited well over a year for diagnosis and it can be so frustrating.
What I would suggest is if you have a number on the letter you received phone them and dont get off the phone until they have changed it say it is urgent and you feel terrible. Which sounds like it is all true I know I always feel guilty but there really is no need to. I really do hope you get answers soon x

You're in a flare and they can't see you for 3 months?? That's insane. Is that normal for UK? If I called my GI in a flare, I'd be seen within a couple weeks.

Yeah that is pretty normal in the UK. Kayleigh, I can't do that, because they're all booked up. But my GP likes to see me every two weeks, and we shall tell her that I have to wait three months to be seen - as a GP, she might be able to get me seen sooner, but it's really difficult.

I don't have a GI yet, which is what i'm waiting for.

Mum jokingly said we'll feed me loads of crap a week before then i'll flare up in time! Haha!

Also, I woke up this morning in a flare up after a few good days of being fine... I think I was having a mini break to feel healthy, now back to feeling awful as ever. We'll just have to see how it goes day by day.
