I haven't eaten anything green. And all of a sudden its mushy. My doctor is doing a C-Diff with ova and Parasite test.

Have you drank anything with blue or green food coloring...Gatorade etc. Also some viral infections can give you the green poops. I hope all your tests are negative.

I've had it occasionally, but I've never really thought too much about it. Just thought it was normal for CD. Maybe I'm going to learn something new from this topic.

I had the green poo. They did the tests for C-dif and it came back negative. I watched what I ate and I can see when its green and what I ate. It doesn't always have to be something green you eat. Sometimes Vitamins do it too. I've also been told it can turn darker colors depending on how long it stays in the colon.

Maybe, just maybe, we've all been abducted by aliens and they've put some sorta chip inor did some sorta test on us and that's why we all have CD. Or maybe we're alien clones. Oh the possibilities!

Alien Anal Probes could explain alot too... Hmmmm...

Green poo can be caused by bile, which could mean your stool is passing through your intestines too quickly.

Hi, I'm brand new but what I've learned in infection control classes about C-Dif is that your feces smell horrible with it. So, if you don't have super stinky poo that should be one less worry for you.

i had red poo, with lumps in my pouch. my late husband was just about to call the paramedics when our son said ."that will be the beetroot sandwich we had at lunchtime", panic over.

green poo could be because you ate something with blue colouring in.

LOL Sharon - that is funny......

Hmmm, so I learned how not to worry about c-diff on this thread - which was a worry of mine with one of the meds I'm on. Yay!

Green Poo occurs mostly when food passes through the intestines too quickly. It can because sometimes by other things as well (Iron). There is a chart (I think on Mayo Clinic) of all colors and reasons of poo. It can be rather useful.

That's a good chart to have. I wonder if the admins could make a chart like this to post on here for more info for everyone?
