Hey everyone,
Earlier this week I was given some omeprazole by my GP because I was having seriously bad acid reflux.
I took one capsule and the acid was gone in about 30 minutes. The next morning I noticed I had a very loose, green stool. That evening, I had a much better formed, but still green bowel movement!
Ever since my bowel movements have been green! They have been MUCH BETTER formed than before. I mean they're almost completely normal now, but they're green.
I phoned up my local practice that night but my usual GP wasn't there so I spoke to another one. He said it was nothing to do with the omeprazole and that he wasn't even worried about it. He said it's something to do with bile salts.
Not the omeprazole? That's kinda like the coincidence of me taking antibiotics, and then developing Crohn's disease the day after. These drugs they give us are doing things to our bodies that even the doctors don't know about, I swear!
This is just NOT a coincidence!
And yes, I do eat green vegetables; but this colour has never happened before and for the past week or so I've only been eating 1 portion of green veg a day, anyway.
Strange that my bowel movements have actually improved and are almost perfectly formed thanks to one capsule of omeprazole (which is apparantly not enough to show any improvement at all), they're just green.
Thoughts?
