Growing lump on jaw bone

Hi Dear friends,

Our 15yr old has been on infliximab since last year, has bony lump on his chin since 2012 seen by drs said normal bony lump !! well it has started to grow now visible to eye deforming skin , has next infusion in two weeks do you think I should get it seen to earlier don't want to freak him out.

I think it might be a good idea to get it checked again. It could be nothing, but you just need to clear the air a bit before adding another Remicade infusion to the mix. Hope everything goes well!

I would have it seen to. Any change in appearance warrants a re-examination.

I agree with the others definitly get it seen before the next remicade to be on the safe side.

I had a bone cyst on my jaw that I had removed when I was 14 years old. The oral surgeon that did the procedure said it would have eventually broken my jaw from growing. My dentist found it on an xray when checking out my wisdom teeth (had those removed at the same time). It was an easy procedure and I haven't had any problems since.

It was slow growing so not an emergency but it definitely needed to be taken care of. I am not sure if that is helpful at all but it could be a similar issue???

Thanks all going to call Drs today l know he has had it ages but spooked me that its started to grow, mind you doing well on Remicade and growing like a weed so maybe that's just growing with him will see what they say.
