Someone on here asked about handicap tags a while back and I couldn't remember who it was, but I thought I would share with you my experience.
In my current situation, I can't walk very far. My GI knows me fairly well and everything that is going on with my health. I asked him to fill out the paper work for me so I could get a tag. I was worried about the form, I don't want to explain myself, I am very embarrassed that I can't walk. But there is not ANYTHING on there that asks why you feel the need for the tag. All my GI put was his license # and then had someone notarize it. Thats it. So basically, as long as you can get your doctor to agree with you that you need to park closer to the door (fatigue, bathroom emergency, severe joint pain) you can get a tag.
EDIT: I got a temporary tag, its good for 6 months. So if your in a bad flare, its a g od idea to have and hopefully you won't be so sick 6 mo later (but you can just get another one if you need to)
