A very happy mother's day to all the great moms, grandmas and caregivers on this forum.

I read this on my JIA forum but thought it would be nice here.

I have laid my child in a surgeons arms,
I have slept upright in a hospital chairs,
I have listened to the beeping of machines and been thankful,
I have smiled through the tears,
I have found strength when their was none left.
A Mother's love is the fuel that enables a normal
human being to do the impossible.

Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!!!!

Any special plans for mothers day???

I caught the virus, so I'll be under a comfy blanket watching movies
while I'm being waited on like the Queen I am!

Thanks, Farmwife! Hope you have a great Mother's Day too, and that you're on the mend soon.

Our usual Mother's Day tradition is to head to the local farmer's market to shop and eat lunch, and to buy flowers for my mom and mother-in-law, who stop by the house later for a meal. We're still going to do that, but it's a little trickier this year because we'll have to take it easy with the strawberries and veggies. I think we'll still have a good time--we'll just put more emphasis on the flowers this year!

Happy Mother's Day, yard work here. I got some of those Hula berries (white strawberries that are supposed to taste like pineapple) going to add to my strawberry patch and get the veggies in the ground. Supposed to be 75 degrees and sunny tomorrow so fantastic weather so hopefully I can talk everyone into a hike in the hills.

Very small turn out at the Mother Day market. The weather keep people away 13c and rainy.

Happy Mother's Day to all!!!!
My daughters surprised me with a beautiful brunch! All three girls helped even my little one! They made my son do dish duty!

I got a chainsaw! Woohoo! I really did want one. Spending the rest of the day lounging around since it's raining. Kind of bummed I can't try my new toy!

To all the IBD mommas out there... thank you for being here for me. You are all my heroes!

My girls surprised me with some adorable gifts they made at school. Then we went to church and had lunch at my MIL's. The homemade ice cream was definitely my favorite! Then came home to a much needed nap. A really nice day and I feel blessed.

Hey us in Canada celebrate Mother's Day today too! 😉

I asked my kids for the gift of time...cause now that they are teenagers that's the one thing they don't seem to have much for me with extra curricular activities, friends, etc. The gave me a picnic along the river, and we were successful in eating with no bathroom in site! About 15 mins afterwords we had to run to the nearest Starbucks so D could use the bathroom but a whole picnic with my girls in nature! I was so happy.

The one thing Crohns robbed my family from is nature walks. before D's diagnosis we used to go walking in the woods & along the trails. I hope one day soon we can plan more than a 1hr trip.

I hope all of you got to do something that brought you joy today!

Lol, I haven't memorized what nations celebrate and when.

So if I could I would drop the USA part of the title.;)

Have a great day all the mother's all over the world!

My 6 year old son was so excited about mother's day that he asked my husband to wake me up at 6:30 am so that he could be the first out of all of his siblings to give me a mother's day gift. In our family you have to be creative and daring to get the spotlight!

Dad agreed to it, but said he would only help if I got to have coffee instead of breakfast in bed. Hubby wanted to make sure all were alive to tell the tale.

All the kids were sweet and thoughtful all day.

My teen in the armed forces marched in a Mother's Day walk for charity.

But I didn't get a chainsaw. I'm a few hours north of MN, Mehita, so I actually understood the chainsaw thing. Hope you get to have fun with it soon!
