hi jimmi ye i did , wasnt working for me still in agony, so shortly after an infusion i went to the hospital and told them do something before i slit my throat (slight lie )but not far off. I then had surgery and i have been good so far since, Im so sorry its not working for you though.. so i guess you can stop it but please checkwith a medic 1st. best wishes and sorry for your pain, i know how bad it can be. Im sure others will post with their stories, to try and help..

I stopped. I have to go back on it though. Anything is better than being sick imo. You would need to discuss it with your soc to have his support. The probs with your teeth maybe due to malabsorption. There may be a less drastic solution.

thank you guy,s for the response,i have an appointment with speacilist end off month ,will tell him how unhappy i am with the treatment, not sure if there is any other treatments left,to try.

Hi jimmi , ok so not long before you see your specialist , i advise you be totaly honest and open tell him/her exactly how you feel, that is the only way that they can help if they know all the facts. dont be afraid to tell its as it is , they have most likely heard it before so dont be embarressed, good luck and best wishes :thumleft:

hi there mandy, will tell him the truth, think i seen him approx 1 year go.did tell him about hair loss (as always had a thick head of hair )he assured me it would grow back,my ibd nurse even made a note of it.but it seems to have got worse, thanks again for your kind support

Hi Jimmi,

Yes, you can just stop taking it (though I would say talk to your doctor!)- no need to wean off. Lots of other drugs out, hopefully you can find one that works for you if you decide to discontinue. Be aware, though, that if you do stop, you might not be able to go back. I went off to have a baby and had a reaction when I tried to go back on a few years later.
