Have you tried Acupuncture for your Crohn's?? And if so how did it go?? How were the results, how many treatments???

i dont know the amounts etc, but a girl i work with - her grandma has crohns and basically only has acupuncture as her treatment. she swears by it.

but again, everyone is different. grrrrr

I've been twice so far, so it's too soon to tell. My accupuncturist also has Crohn's, so I think that helps a lot. I enjoy it; it's relaxing. I look forward to my appointments.

It could help in the sense that it can reduce stress. I think it is best thought of as a possible complimentary treatment, not a primary one.

The effects are temporary according to a Chiropractor I asked.

Just giving you an update, I had my first treatment last week, and I felt 50% better for the first week, I just had my 2nd treatment this afternoon, I will keep updating this link on the progress for the next 4 - 6 weeks.

I have also been on remicade for almost 1 year and the acupuncture was a noticable difference for the better. I am also taking chinese herbs from the acupuncturist aswell.
