My brother gave me 1 dose shy of a month's worth of culturelle probiotic. It contains 10 billion cells of lactobacillus GG. I haven't had any luck with probiotics before, but this one is has alot more active cultures than the ones I tried. I was just wondering if anybody had tried this specific product. If I get no replies I'll post how it works for me in case someone goes looking for information on it in the future.

Thanks,
Jon

Not here Jon, but let us know if it works. Does it have a brand/script name?

i take culturelle and it works great for me. i'm farily sure the lactobacillus GG is lactobacillus rhamnosus and they have altered it a bit to stay alive longer in the acidic areas of the stomach so it can get to the rest of the GI tract and actually do some good.

haven't tried that but lactobacillus plantarum actually goes to work in your colon. That worked for me, really well actually. But I took a lot more than what they suggest on the bottle when my crohns was flaring up. I did read about it, they'd done some study, hence that was why I took more too. I think they tend to use more in studies than is in regular supplements.
