having problems with Humira

My name is Lori. I was diagnosed with Crohns a few months ago. I was put on Endocort which has helped alot. Three weeks ago I had my first Humira 4 injections and two weeks later 1 injection. Since i have had alot of adverse reactions the worst being chestpain and pressure, increased blood pressure, leg sweeling and terrible headaches. Anyone else?? I feel i am the only one with a bad reaction.
Thanks,
Lori

Hi,
Im on Humaria and am having the same problem with chest pains :-( I went to the ER and they said you couldn't get chest pains from the Humaria. Im meeting with my doc friday because im scared im happy to see that someone else is having symptoms and im not crazy :-(

I don't think either of you are crazy! My legs became increasingly weaker when I was on it. Chest pain is never something to fool with!
Lori, PLEASE contact your doctor right away! Also, I see you are in the states. Call the number on the Humira box. Tell them your side effects. You are not the only person to have side effects from this medication. It is a powerful drug. It works well for some people, not so hot for others. If I were you, I would not use it again until you have consulted with your doctor. Sorry, can you tell the chest pain part has me a bit freaked?
Good luck,
Michele

I have been on Humira for over 6 months now, I have had a few chest pains, but only once or twice. I haven't told my doctor about it yet (haven't seen her since I had them) but will mention it next time. I definitely got headaches when I first started on humira, but they went away after a while. I have some other side effects, increased asthma at times is one, but other than that I have been pretty good. I was so worried about all the side effects that I read about that I almost declined going on humira, but I am glad now that I have.

Thank you

Thank you for replying to my plea for help. This is an amazing journey and one I sometimes dont want to go on. i dont know if it possible for your body to adjust to the Humira or if you either can or cannot take it? Thinking about asking for a smaller dose.
Anyway thank you for you replies!!
Lori

I have been on Humira and that is a side effect to the drug, but a scary one too, I would tell your doctor immediately, just to be on the safe side ok? Everyone is different to drugs, and you may not be reacting to it well!
