Headaches coming off Pred

Hey,
I have been on Prednisolone 3 times now. I have just tapered off the third time and i have had the worst headaches!! It's been 5 days now and I am ok in the morning but by lunch time until i go to bed I have headaches Anyone else have this problem???

Sorry unfortunately coming off of pred and enduring those side effects is really hard and nasty. I wish there was an easy way but I think mainly its just a tough time you need to get through. Maybe Tylenol and whatever else normally helps you with headaches (for me coffee) during this time.

Yes I can remember the headaches. I used to put some tiger balm on my forehead to help. It took a couple of weeks for the headaches to go

I am on these (8 a day) and I've been getting really bad headaches too!

I have a similar problem, except it doesn't happen when I get off steroids, I've been steroid dependent for almost 10 years, and every time I try to taper lower than 10 mg I start getting migraines. My doctor thought it was strange and sent me to a neurologist who did a brain scan and found nothing remarkable... but I'm not sure if this guy is truly a "neurologist" because his office is a sleep study clinic and all he wanted to do was have me do sleep studies.

My best educated guess about the source of the migraines would be TMJ. The steroids minimize inflammation from it, so when i taper, I get the effects of TMJ, as well as crohn's, as well as withdrawals lol.

If you haven't been on it that long, it's probably just part of the withdrawals that will pass eventually. If it's really debilitating, maybe ask your doctor about doing a more gradual or slower taper.

Ya, I get very bad headaches when I am lowing off of predisone... I have had Crohns for 10 yrs now and been on and off of that medication many many times... At one point I was on predisone for almost two yrs..
