Headache's.....normal?

I wanted to just ask if any of you suffered from headach's?? I got one almost everyday and I wish I could say it has to do with CD but I never really kept track of them before I was diagnosed. I know they can be stressed related also but they are killing me. The only thing that helps them is Asprin and we all know how that makes our tummies feel...any ideas?

Funny, but I just did a search on Crohn's and headaches this morning. I was wondering the same thing.

I had a horrible flare up in late May that lasted into September. Before the flare up (for about 3 to 4 full weeks) I had dibilitating headaches. Probably my worse ever. They seemed to subside when the flare up got bad. I was wondering if this is a symptom that may signal a flare up.

yes. i've certainly been more prone to headaches and migraines since my Crohns kicked off again.. sometimes it is directly due to being dehydrated, and my first port of call is always a glass of rehydration powders. if that fails, i turn to paracetamol, or if it's a migraine, paracetamol & codeine.

ive had alot more headaches since being ill than before. although i do suffer from migraines.

Definaitely can be caused my dehydration and malabsorption of vitamins.

I rarely get headaches. I was thinking dehydration too, or maybe it's a side from one of your medications?

Maybe I missed it in another thread, but how are things on the homefront?

i get headaches. they're usually worse when i'm tired (which is pretty much all the time).

i don't think mine are cause by dehydration, since i drink like a fish. 24 oz water bottle times about 8 or 9 per day.

I get them when I get really sick, so I have always assumed they were due to malnutrition.

I pushed my lease signing date back to Nov 1!!! I am going through all different emotions. I guess that is to be expected. Now I just have to stay busy with work, kids and all the stuff that goes with moving. Time will tell but this too shall pass. By the way....thanks for asking.

Much of the information I came across discussed headaches as a side effect of the medication that Crohn's patients tend to use. I did find one site that said some of the side symptoms of Crohn's may be headaches.

My headaches started right before I had a terrible flare up and ended once the flare up was in full swing. These were a new type of headache to me in that the intensity of them was almost unbearable. I thought it was odd that they stopped once my other symptoms showed up, but then again I think this disease is odd in the way that it effects people so very differently. BTW, since I started my medications I haven't had 1 headache yet...go figure?

I only wish the headaches were tension but I have been getting them everyday. Well I suppose there is still that possibility I will know when I leave. I am going to look into the meds also though just to rule out something.

I have told him and I do not really know if he believes me. The day after I told him he turned into MR PERFECT. I know that will not last long. THen I tried to talk to him about the kids, cars, all that stuff and he said that I would never see the kids and the cars were his. I think he is just scared and does not know how to act around me right now. Time will tell. Thanks for asking. I will keep you posted.
