My son is having headaches which is inflammation. How can I be sure if he's taking enough multivitamins? Is there a certain amount he should be getting daily ? He doesn't eat right, so I know he's lacking and probably needs more than usual, I just don't know how much. He's taking probiotics, but not sure if he's getting enough of them either. thinking of switching to renewlife with the mega doses but I'm scared of causing a reaction . it's so frustrating.

I'm considering adding curcumin, fish oil, etc.

I saw a supplement that helps with c reactive proteins, etc, but not sure about it for him..http://www.drdavidwilliams.com/shop-vitamins-supplements/total-cardiocover/#axzz2jnTunUBA

He's also on remicade

Sorry to hear about the headaches, it's a common side effect of Remicade. My son too gets some whoppers occasionally, we treat with acetaminophen (never ibuprofen) and cool cloths. Make sure he's well hydrated too. His bloodwork should be reporting if he's at normal levels, discuss it with your doc, but I'm of the opinion a standard multivitamin can never hurt. The body wastes what it can't use/absorb. We use Centrum-Kids chewables. Which probiotics does he take? There's usually a dosage for kids or based on weight that would be your best guide. I never found they helped my son, but they certainly are a good idea while taking oral antibiotics.

Hi there, is he getting enough fluids? Dehydration can cause a headache. Dehydration can come on fast for some especially with fluid loss or simply not drinking enough. Many think that if we slow the fluid intake we can slow the watery bowel movements, silly but can happen.

Could be seasonal, I get a headache the day before it rains, lol.

Much peace and well wishes.

DS gets chronic headaches plus migraines
Neuro has him on b-2 and may add magnesium.
Might be worth asking your ped about .
Dosages does vary so you need to ask a doc about it .

Right, allergy headaches. Periactin really helped my son with both allergies and weight gain. My non-IBD son also took periactin for awhile to prevent migraines from allergies

My non IBD child has a headache issue. She takes vitamin b2 100mg at bedtime and also I would recommend tumeric to decrease inflammation. The one we take is called curcumin by viva labs. It is very well absorbed. Some tumeric formulations are not so well absorbed.
