DS started getting headaches a few days ago. He's on his computer constantly coding programs, doing homework and playing games with friends. Maybe eye strain from looking at the screen too much? He hasn't missed any school because of the headaches but I was just wondering if they can be from his Crohn's? I know it's an inflammatory disease so it stands to reason that it could be. I started getting awful migraine headaches when I went through puberty and since he's a bit delayed maybe he's going through the hormonal changes now and it's hormonal? I was just wondering if any of your kids had headaches and for how long/what helped? He's getting his third Remicade dose in two days so maybe that will help if there's inflammation (or is that just TOTALLY not how it works LOL)?

DS gets chronic migraines -started after dx.
His are inflammation
Due to crohn's arthritis and severe allergies
Neuro treats them
So far if crohn's and allergies are ok
Then his headaches seem ok with daily meds

Another thing can be dehydration that can bring on migraines, headaches. Enough fluid is important - even in cooler months - which many tend to drink less.

hope it gets better ;)

Could be IBD, medication, puberty, or allergies! My son got headaches on Remicade too, but still gets some whopper headaches occasionally too. Maybe limit the screen time and/or encourage breaks for the eye strain. And agree with watching for dehydration. Worth mentioning to the pediatrician, GI, and an optometrist, if they persist.
