Heads up for Crohnies in Indiana and Wisconsin

MyMenu is the American offshoot of the giant Canadian retail frozen food chain M&M Meats with half a dozen outlets.

Anyways, they too are holding a fundraiser BBQ May 8th for Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis charities.

This is a big deal in Canada.

Anyways, just giving a heads up to anyone living in these areas.

I am soo glad to see something like this here in the states. I hope it continues to grow (maybe the My Menu thing will move here to Ohio, cause that looks awesome too!). Crohn's and Colitis definitely need more attention here. Almost everyone you talk to "knows" someone with Crohn's, but they don't really know too much about it. We need to raise awareness. Glad to see this. I loved Mike Holmes already, but I like him even more now!

Hello, I'm rather new to this forum. I live in Wisconsin and I think there are a couple of My Menus in my city - it sounds familiar although I've never been there. I'd like to go to this barbecue, but I'm wondering why they decided on just brats or hamburgers?? I have been avoiding red meat as it makes me feel pretty ill - isn't red meat a common trigger for a lot of us anyway? Maybe I'll make my husband eat one of each since I can't, hee hee. And I'll maybe pass along a comment that they should include chicken next time if they do this again.

Most of the Crohnies donate their time, other actually eat it lol, they donate the money for the proceeds, which is a non profit organisation.
