What the heck!!! Tonight after eating dinne (brown rice and tomato sauce, while my friends ate spaghetti...) I got heartburn for the first time in my life. SO, SO, SO painful. What does this mean?? I've always just had issues in my small intestine...aahh and now esophagus? I desperately chugged almond milk (the only thing I could think of that would cool it down) but it didn't go away for a good while..I couldn't even talk to tell my friends who were over what was going on, it hurt so bad. Like fire in my chest or something. Does this happen to crohn's people? or do I have something ELSE now? I was all over the internet googling ways to get rid of it, meanwhile my throat was in FLAMES and the first site I went it said "gum"...definitely did not work to chew gum. Then my roommate got me a ginger kombucha, which is apparently the miracle drink, because it went away in about 5 minutes after I started drinking it. Thank goodness. Anyway, I hope this doesn't become a pattern. Has anyone had experiences with upper GI stuff, even if the disease usually sits in the small intestine? Very disconcerting...
