Heated vs. unheated extracts

I read in a study that unheated cannabis extracts are what inhibit TNF-alpha, whereas heated cannabis extracts, if used over a long period of time, actually induce TNF-alpha levels.

I've been eating cannabrownies for a while and can say that they help me tremendously with symptoms, but I haven't tried alcohol extracts. Does anyone here have experience with both heated and unheated cannabis and how they affected symptoms?

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by " heated extracts and unheated?" I have been making infused coconut oil, is this considered an extract?
