Well where do i start

l got diagnosed with crohns about a year and a half and what a living hell and journey it has been.lt all started with bad pains in my stomach and me dealing with it till it got to the point where i couldn't handle it anymore. The first G.I that seen me at the hospital during my first break out and diagnose turned out to be the worst G.I doctor i have ever seen.Started me with pregnizone, wow ,great drug and at first and gave me so much energy i was able to cut my lawn and the neighbours lawn after a 12 hours day at work lol if you know what i mean.l now find out its called the devils drug by other doctors lol great.Apparently it releases chemicals into the brain especially after kick ass doses of it.My family doctor not a G.I told me today that it causes depression down the road. She told me that there is two places in the body that has serotonin. The brain and in the lower intestine and with crohns it all makes sense. After the pregnizone i tried azathioprine and man that was hell in a pill. The side affects where next to death to put it lightly lol.The G.I told me to stop immediately and start me on a new one.She gave me a drug after the azathioprine that started with an`m` i cant remember the name but found out that it basically was the same drug as azathioprine causing the same death defying side affects.Goodbye G.I after knowing what azathioprine did to me and then prescribing me basically the same drug but different name and letting me suffer again and she laughed about it too.Terrible bed side manners!!! Needless to say it all worked out cause now i have a wicked GI and im so lucky and happy to have him all though my journey is so far from over.He put me on methotraxate,i was injecting myself once a week for 6 weeks then reduced to oral pills.l have been feeling horrible on it aswell but much more tolerable.l now am off work after seeing my family doctor and off of methotraxate.l have realized that crohns isnt just a lower bowel problem but a serious depression problem aswell.l know that stress is the worst thing for this auto immune desease.l am now starting all over with ways of putting it into remminision.l will post more when i start feeling better and hope it helps someone else with whatever the doctors try on me.
