I will admit - I've been a lurker on this forum for over a year now, but I've finally come clean. I got diagnosed in 2010 at the age of 22, but I had symptoms for 3+ years before I was diagnosed.

I've tried and utterly failed Pentasa and Entocort. Prednisone works for me with minimal side effects, but, as we all know, it's not a long-term solution. I was on Remicade for almost a year with OK results, but I started getting a rash on my arms between infusions, so my GI took me off. Just started Humira in mid-December and it seems to be starting to work (maybe) but I'm also still working on tapering off Prednisone. We'll just have to see what happens.

I have really benefited from reading everyone's posts on this forum. It's great to know you're not alone with this disease. I look forward to reading and chatting with you all.

How long have you been taking Humira now? I hope it starts working for you soon, because it's terrible to be stuck on prednisone. Check out our Humira Club, if you'd like.

I'm in pretty much the exact same spot you are right now. I was also diagnosed in 2010 though my symptoms began several years earlier, and I just finished a prednisone cycle 2 days ago. Currently on Pentasa but last month my GI ordered blood tests to check in case I need to switch to another treatment (Humira I think) as Pentasa hasn't been doing too well so far.
