Hello!

My name is Brandi and I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease on March 12 of this year after 4 months worth of diarrhea, bloating, cramps and upset stomach, and 4 weeks of rectal bleeding that was becoming increasingly worse. The first doctor I went to wanted to wait another month before getting me in for any kind of tests or giving any idea what could be going on so I went elsewhere.

I currently have an amazing doctor who (I sometimes have a hard time understanding but oh well lol) I am currently on 30mg of prednisone, 800mg of Asacol 3x day. I also have Hypothyroidism, asthma and allergies… I feel like I am falling apart!

That was a fab quick diagnosis, well done you!
I'm glad you've got an amazing doc, that's half the battle with this condition, someone who listens for a change!

I actually had a friend refer me to this doctor and she said "He will either figure out what's wrong or run out of tests trying!"

Hello and welcome to the forum, good for you for going to a different doc so you could get your answers quicker. It is nice to hear that you like him and that he can sort things for you, that is important when dealing with a disease like this.

Hi Brandi and welcome to the forum! I'm so glad you found us. I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis but thank goodness you found a good doctor to help you get there.

Out of curiosity, have you had your vitamin B12 and vitamin D levels tested? I ask because people with Crohn's Disease are commonly deficient.
