Hello all,
I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 1989, when I was 18. I learned I had the disease in a rather dramatic fashion -- after having mystery pain on and off for several months, my cecum ruptured, and I was hospitalized for nine days. Since then, thank goodness, I have been mostly in remission (very rare pain, but probably more diarrhea than the average person). After a long period of no health insurance, I am now covered, and I am anxious to take advantage of it and get checked up and have a colonoscopy (haven't had one since 1996). I don't currently have a gastroenterologist, and joined the forum hoping to find recommendations. I live in Queens NY. If anyone can direct me to the appropriate part of the forum to do this, I would be grateful! Thank you
