Help with complicating crohn's in the small intestine

iam shilpi saha 26 yr old 4m kolkata ,india. in this forum i hav sen tht most of the people has crohns at large intestine but my problem is diffrent i hvae crohns at small intestine ( stricturing in jejunal,few inter loops , adhesion and lots of ulcer all over the intestine) any one suffering 4m same problem???? what type test will be helpfull to knwig my present small intestine condition

Hey there, sorry you're suffering, It was my understanding that more people actually had crohn's in the small intestine? That being said - Mine is the large intestine (crohn's colitis)
 
Hi Shilpi! Crohn's is commonly found where the small bowel meets the large bowel in the terminal ileum (the small intestine). A pill camera is a very good tool to see the extent of your disease. The only problem is that it can become stuck if you have a stricture or scar tissue but your doctor can have you swallow a patency capsule that will dissolve if it doesn't pass. If it doesn't pass, they won't recommend swallowing the real thing or you might have to have surgery to remove it.
