Anyone having a difficult time with nausea and vomitting? I have TI crohns and am tappering dosage of entocort. I feel like crap now and can not imagine coming completly off entocort. The diarrhea has stopped with this med but I battle constipation from the med, weak sphincter muscles now, and I'm sure stricture. The docs have never been able to scope my TI(terminal ileum) . CTscan contrast did not reach terminal ileum so they couldn't rule out stricture. Small bowel follow thru could not rule out stricture because in 10 hours the barium did not pass. I can hardly keep food down for the most part and I vomit undigested food from up to 24 hours prior. The abd pain(RLQ and umbilical is terrible, and I feel like my bowels are packed. I have urgency an pass alot of mucous and sometime blood. Joint pain is an everyday thing and I also had an eye uvitis related to crohns. Does it ever get better?

If you are vomitting up material from 24 hours before, you are almost definately blocked. I think it's time to go to hospital. If the entocort hasn't helped, it may be scar tissue. In which case you may need a surgical procedure to help you out. But the longer you leave it, the worse the problem is going to get. So you need to get in touch with your doctor or get to hospital ASAP.

Don't ignore this, I ignored mine last year and nearly ruptured, and it turned septic.

Hi Chickee, I replied to you in another thread but I didn't know you were doing this poorly. I agree with Rebecca and Joan, vomiting is never a good sign and you should be checked out immediately. Don't wait it out, the longer you wait the worse it'll get if it's a blockage.

obstructed?

have an appt tomarrow. Kinda nervous but it's time to push and see why I am feelin so crappy. I really think I have a partial bowel obstruction.

confirmed partial sm bowel ostruction. Go-lytely(whoever lied about lightly...ha ha) and increased entocort to 9mg plus prednisone 80mg. will see me next week and discuss surgery if not better. My c reactive protein and esr are rediculously high again. What a journey this has been. Today I just want to be flushed down the toilet.
