Hi guys.i am new here. I was diagnosed with corhn .currently I am on salofolk dhasolone azathioprine. Just enter the 2nd week with all these drug. I am currently 38 and suddenly this change my entire life. My Wife is expecting soon and due this coming Sep and we are trying to stay positive and look forward for our new born.

I am from Singapore and the support here is very little. Great to have such a forum here. I am alway thirsty and no matter how much I drink. It is never enough. Just curious if I can take coconut water ?

When ever I eat after around 30 min. I feel weak . I assume it is the inflammation and ulcer is absorbing my energy and I lost over 3 kg in 3 weeks. There will be sensation here and there in my stomach after eating.

I tried Ensure supplement but it seem to make it worse. Hope I can get some support here. Sorry if my English is bad. I try my best to write as well as I can

Good luck with managing the Crohns, and congrats on the baby. And your English is fine!!! To me, always being thirsty would not be typical, but I did run a search on coconut water. In Singapore would that mean fresh from coconuts or a prepackaged variety (pardon my ignorance)? The last post seems to indicate a difference between the two. Sounds like or the most part is is a good drink to re-hydrate, but not the miracle drink the marketers make it out to be.

Welcome to the forum!

Hi malice thank for the reply. Noted on these links. Everyday trying to eat simple carbo like rice and steam vege with egg etc... And Milo is the best for me as it give me instant energy. Taking multi vit and probiotic to assist with yogurt and blue berries.

I tried to went for a run or brisk walk but it seem to strain my tummy so I stop. Just curious how Long have this affect you ?

Hi Mushroom - has your doctor checked you for diabetes? Constant thirst can be caused by other things, but it is one of the key symptoms of high blood sugar.

I recommend you follow-up with the doctor about that thirst.

Noted with thanks. I am currently using salofalk as given by doc. But when I research online it say may not be suitable for people with asprin allergy which I have. It is not cheap and doc say need to use life time. My condition doesn't seem to get better while using this salofalk. So he step up with 2 more drugs.
