So... now I have an appt with the hemotologist, and the colorectal surgeon this week. And another Remicade infusion, but at a higher dose, which I wasn't even aware that there was? We are basically trying to get me well enough so that I can get healthy enough to elect to have surgery if I want. "You do not have the building blocks to get better" according to the doc. We have to figure out what the hell is going on with my blood? Best way I can desribe it is like my body is a spoiled little kid and it refuses to do the chores. It's like "hey, I'll still pump your heart and fill your lungs, and eat and sleep, but I'm done making blood for you... just get somebody elses!":) Kinda neat that it's Halloween... my new pick up line isn't what's your sign, it's what's your blood type? B neg... sweet, now can I see your medical records?:ylol2:

I love your sense of humor. It's gonna get you through the rough times, I'm thinking.

O pos. for me, thanks! Happy Halloween!

HA HA!

I am sorry to hear that you are going through such a frustrating time, but I hope your spirits are in good shape. Things will work out soon, but it can be very confusing in the meantime.

You may want to ask your doctor about going on parental nutrition (like TPN or elemental diet). This way you may be able to get some calories put on you rather quickly, which may be able to get you ready for surgery. I warn you that TPN is quite expensive though, but you may want to ask your doctor about it.
