Has anybody else developed hemorrhoids whilst they have a bag?
I have totally liquid mucus poops about 4 times per day - but that's all.
In the last week or so - I have developed a large hemorrhoid.
I'm baffled by this - although not entirely sure if I should be baffled. Not sure if it's a commonplace experience for ostomates.
My original surgery a week prior to my ileostomy was to remove and clean up my out of control hemmies - so presumably they should all be gone.
Why has one come back with a vengeance?

I'm going to see the GP to get it sorted, and hopefully surgically removed.

Just wondering what the experience of others might be?

:yfaint: No, I've not heard of it! But, if you had a hemy before, it could be rearing it's ugly bastard head now because it feels unloved, unappreciated, and underused. Its probably crying out for attention.

Sorry, joking aside, no. And I certainly hope the GP can sort it out for you! What an awful thing to happen, and strange after the surgery you've had. I mean that surgery is supposed to give our 'parts' time to rest and heal for heavens sake!

True words misty I'm lying here and the shits been flying out of me both ways and no fucker seems to care, fistulas sore etc and they talk about rest!!!! Sorry for ranting but can't see much point in enduring bag if the shit still flies out.

Bigtruck, I personally havent heard of anyone having to endure what you are. Personally, if I were you, I'd take the 'double dump' in the surgeons office!

I have had nothing but trouble from my back end since my ileostomy last year. I got home from hosp yesterday after having it all removed last thursday. Yippee!!! Hope this finally gives me some relief . It was nowhere near as difficult as I antisipated. Hope things improve for you guys too xxx
