Well 2010 has been my 'year from hell'.
Now I sit here, still flaring which began back in Feb. I now have a lung infection, developed Gastritis, and my 6MP has again decided to play havoc with my liver function. A 2 week course of Doxycyline will sort out the lung infection, a blast of Esomeprazole should fix the gastritis, and reduction to 50mg should I'm hoping get my liver function back to normal.
BUT somehow, (great timing), I'm due to move house this weekend, and the bloody snow has arrived. Not like it wasn't expected, but I had taken today off work to have my new carpets fitted, and alas they couldn't reach the village, ARRRGGGHHH!!!! Could cry if this didn't all seem like some sort of Monty Python sketch.

I will continue to chant (like some mad woman), '2011 WILL be my year'.

Happy Friday to all

And x

Hey Andrea!

I've sent you a PM huni
Get well soon and let us know how you are
xxxx

So sorry to hear about everything you are going through.
I am also looking forward to the back of 2010. Let's hope that 2011 is the year all us cronies start to feel better :)

Joan, have replied, and Thanks for making me laugh (as usual) hun xx

Sam, hoping 2011 will be a better year for you too. Hope you get a definite diagnosis, and can then start on the road to remission. Believe it or not, despite all that's going on, I have felt worse this year than I currently do. Must be the festive spirit going round!

I agree with Sam, 2011 couldn't possibly be worse than this year, right? ;) At least 2010 is ending well for me, but the vast majority of it was pretty awful. And I don't envy you for moving, especially in the snow. We bought our house a little over 2 years ago and we STILL haven't unpacked all the boxes! So, good luck with your move, and I hope you are able to get settled in and unpacked quickly and I hope it goes as un-stressfully as possible. Happy holidays and I hope 2011 is better for all of us!

Thanks Cat,
Snow is still making this move impossible this weekend, but on the positive side, it does give me the time to put my feet up and get my head into a good book, and I haven't had the chance to do that in such a long time. The antibiotics and Esomeprazole seem to have kicked in overnight, so am feeling much better today. Long may it continue.!
Wishing you a healthy 2011
Andrea

Hope you get moved ok. I remember moving house just before Christmas in a really bad year, 1981. The removal van couldn't get down the hill to the house for about a week!
I've not had a brilliant 2010... I was made redundant and that didn't do my health much good.
I hope 2011 is better for everyone!

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear that you too have had a bad 2010, and hoping that next year will be better for you.
Moving and snow really aren't a good combination. At least for now, it's given me some time to get some r&r before the madness begins again next week.
Hope you have a great Christmas,
Andrea

Andrea,
Well, I see from the news that the weather is still rather cold over there. I have moved during a blizzard (upstate NY) and during the worst heat wave Texas has ever seen. I think you have it right...get into a good book and worry about it when the weather clears.
So glad you are feeling better.
Good luck and keep warm,
Michele
