Well, tomorrow should be fun. We have the follow-up appointment with the surgeon at 11.50am at the kids hospital. Going to be insisting on an MRI to check what's happening with the fistula.
Plus the nurse phoned this morning to say the paediatrician has kindly agreed to see Amy (and Andrew at the same time) tomorrow as well - at 9.30am.
Oh joy, a 20 min drive to the local hospital first and then an hour drive to Glasgow for the next appointment. Mmmm, that sounds like a fun day.

:goodluck:

I hope you get lots of answers and cooperation!

Might there be Fish and Chips in your future???

Thanks everyone. Gee Crohnsinct - how did you guess :). I do believe fish and chips are top of the list today!! My mom has kindly agreed to go so we can use her disabled parking permit at the kids hospital as it gets really busy and you can spend ages going round and round to find one (that and she also thinks the surgeon is cute )

Well today actually went quite well, and I didn't need to shout at any of the doctors :ysmile:.
Can you believe the paediatrician came in to see Amy and Andrew on his day off!! :ywow: :yfaint: So we have a plan of action - yippee.
Amy - she is to increase her lactulose to 20 ml twice a day to try really clear her out. Then she is to come with to Andrew's GI appt on 29th. Doc will have a think about what to do next - maybe some sort of imaging like MRI or gulp - colonoscopy.
Andrew - both he and the surgeon are happy with Andrew's wound. Surgeon (love him) is happy for Andrew not to go onto any medication  unless it becomes inflamed again. If we have problems, he may deal with the fistula surgically before dragging in meds. Blood test tomorrow (loads of vials - oh dear) to double check everything especially his liver as doc is concerned that it didn't "bounce back" straight after stopping the Aza.
So all in all a good day medically speaking for a change

Good news!!!

I'm glad all seems to be going well for Andrew! I hope nothing negative comes from the blood tests!

And, am glad they will following up Amy - hope NO colonoscopy!!!!! :)

And, all enjoyed the fish and chips! :D
