Hernia?

The last couple days I have had some minor pains around my abdominal area which isn't exactly abnormal for me. This morning I noticed my skin was elevated around my waistline and is tender to the touch. My first reaction is it's a Hernia... It's not overly painful but uncomfortable.

I had a colonoscopy last month, and I'm very suspicious that this may be the cause? Also link to my treatment thread i created awhile ago:http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=69690

I sought out a second opinion from the mayo clinic in December of this past year because my local Gi doctor has been "fine" with my condition even though I have recurrent disease symptoms. The mayo found evidence of significant disease and have been recommending I come off Humira after my recent colonoscopy. My local GI doctor has been flaky for the last month, and has yet to prescribe the Mayo clinic recommending medication. I can't help to think this new symptom is a cause of not getting appropriate care. I'm furious, and probably going to fire my local GI doctor if it does turn out to be a hernia. I have been calling the office everyday for three weeks for him to call the mayo clinic to coordinate my care. I have had several surgeries in 2011-13 in around the area for a colostomy/colostomy reversal, and obstructions but haven't had any structural issues since then. Could this be from active disease or from the colonoscopy? I'm going to try to call my former surgeon on Monday to see if he can look at it.....who should examine my abdomen? I don't exactly trust my local GI anymore...

I think a colonoscopy can aggravate existing inflamed tissue if not done carefully but I haven't heard of a hernia as a result.

Having a stoma can may you more prone to hernias, and any surgery on the abdomen can too, depending on whether it weakens... I want to say muscles but that may not be right. It weakens some kind of supportive tissues or something anyway. It's not necessarily an indication that the surgeon did anything wrong, it just happens sometimes.
