Hey everyone, would like to introduce myself, my name is Jason, im 26 years old and have been diagnosed for 3 years now. I found this website just reading around online about crohns, I think its great. Most information that ive read all seems to be medical technical documentation and nothing really helpful to me, its great to have a collective knowledge of personal experiences.

Reading some of these threads worries me a bit more about my crohns but at the same time makes me feel better about my own. I was diagnosed at the time with a mild case of crohns and havent had to deal with many of the issues I have read about. I dont take any medication besides pain meds every once in a while, my doctor has tried a few medications but they really didnt seem to make a difference for me, i am pretty normal most of the time and ive payed close attention to the foods and diet that make it worse for me and just avoid those.

anways Hi

:bigwave: Jayson! We know how you feel but you will get lots of help here. It is scary but you have to do the trial and error for your self on what helps you feel better. Most of us dont want to be on drugs but depends on the severity.... we need help from time to time.

Glad you are here, welcome aboard!

Hi Jayson!

Welcome! I am new to the forum too. Like you, I was looking for something other than statistics and other documentation, and I have gotten a ton of good information here. Lots and lots of good and supportive people, with a wide range of experiences.

Hi Jayson!
And welcome! The forum is awesome!! And the members are awesome as well! I'm new to IBD/CD and my illness confuses the heck out of me sometimes.. But being here (forum) has made such a huge difference in my own life! There's always someone w words of wisdom, or even a kind ear. I hope u find all the answers u seek, and best wishes to ya!
:)

Hey Jayson:bigwave:
Glad you found us. I too recently found this forum online, spent the last 20 years suffering in silence. It's good to have a voice and to know that others experience some of the same things I do. We are all different, as CD affects none of us the same. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. CD is a complex condition, and can be extremely scary at times. Knowledge, my friend, is your best defense. :study: Learn everything you can about CD and the options you have. Find what works best for you.
I hope you stick around, continue to browse the threads. I, myself, have learned a great deal in the short time I've been here. The people here are wonderful. No need to hold anything back, we've either heard it or experienced it ourselves. No topic is off limits. That's what is so nice. It's a safe place to vent our frustrations about topics not necessarily dinner table conversation, if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing your story, hope to see you around.:welcome:

Welcome Jayson!! Glad it's mild for you and I hope it stays that way:)!! My son's crohns is also mild since his pred run late last year. Honestly, I doubt he has had any more stomach/gut issues than any other kid in the last ten months. However, every time he does have even the slightest issue, it's more a cause for concern for obvious reasons. Glad you are here so stick around!!

Hi Jayson and :welcome:

Good to see you here. It's nice to read you have a mild case of Crohns and I hope it stays that way for you for a very, very long time to come. Stick around and browse through the forums and if you have any questions just fire away. Good luck and welcome aboard!

Take care, :)
Dusty
