hi my name is tony and until recently I thought. I had uc but after a recent scope I was told I had crohns,
I was first diagnosed 28 years ago and had good periods of remission and long flare ups ,
just before my last scope I was starting to flare , doc changed my meds. from salazopyrin (2x 4 daily) to asacol (3x 1 daily) ,
the asacol did not suit me at all, had nausea, stomach pain and just liquid bm,
my rear end was in a bad way, almost closed from the cramping, other doc put me on entacort and back on salazopyrin and two weeks on. I'm back. to two bms a day and apart from arthritis in hips knees and back pain I'm. not too bad

Hi Tony and welcome! Glad you are feeling well these days! I hope it lasts!

Glad you found us here on the forum. I was also originally DX with UC, then re-DX with CD in 2009. There are many here that also have joint pain, it's a comment side-symtpom of Crohn's. I hope it isn't too bad for you. Remember to say away from Advil and other NSAIDs!

Tony...a good drug to knock out you crohn's related arthritis is Humira.
