Hi,
my name is Tarek, I am 22 years old and was diagnosed with MC about two years ago. I most likly had the disease for quite a while, but since certain medicen which I have to take due other health problem have pretty much the exact side effects which are the sympthons for MC it took a while to figure out that it was a disease on its own. Before I got sick I was an athlete who played Team Handball for 10 years and was running 100m (& 4x100m) and made it to state championship. Right now I am glad when I can reach the toilet in time. I am stuyding history and politcs but I had to take a break from the university due my health and won't be able to return until fall. My main treatment at the moment is remicade which seems to work much better than the cortison and azathioprin I got before (The first one made me gain over 30kg the second one gave me a pancreatitis). Currently I appear to be in remission, though I still have to cope with most sympthons but on a more irregular basis.
As I can't go out much and not having much to do, I have taken upon writing as a hobby to kill time. For what I am currently writing it would be helpful if I could find any student here who is currently visiting a high school (or did visit one, and still can remember it. I was told that after or during college many students seem to forget everything they once knew).
Ah and please excuse my lacking English skills as German is my native language. I'll try my best not to torment you with too many mistakes.
