Hi all,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My husband has been diagnosed with CD for 3 years. He is currently in the hospital for his second obstruction and so I am hoping to gain some information here to help us make the best decisions.

Sorry about your hubby, I've been in hospital with a blockage too, it's just awful.
Hopefully the meds they are giving him, maybe it's IV hydrocortisone, will reduce his inflammation and avoid surgery.
Maybe he'll come home with Prednisolone and Flagyl, I did.
Have a read thro the treatment sections on here to get some info on maintenance meds.

Hi Mary and welcome! I am sorry to hear about your husband's obstruction. I sure hope it will pass without needing surgery.

You say this is his second obstruction within 3 years - what medication is he taking to keep his Crohn's under control? Perhaps it is time for a new treatment plan.
