Hello,
I wanted to introduce myself, my name is holly. I started to become sick my jr. of high school, and was told i needed to eat better. Well come my Senior year i got worse and ended up in the hospital for two weeks. They finally figured out i had Crohns, by then it was pretty server. Though all this i found out i am very very allergic to the 5 ASA, after trying them all, I was prednisone for almost 2 years. I am currently on Imuran. When i do get sick mine manefests in the form of tummy issues, back problems and my personal favorite Pyoderma gangrenosum:frown:
Thats the short of it.
I have spend most of my life dealing with this , or not talking about it. Trying to not make a big deal of it,cause its hard to find anyone who understands.
Last week i started to get really sick and they said i have diverticulitis on top of the crohns. Last night i just sat and cried, i had no one to talk to or relate to. I am really on here to get advice, support and support others who have gone through this.

Hello Holly and :welcome: to the forum. I am sorry to hear that you now have this added complication to deal with. What additional treatment (if any) has been suggested for you?

nothing really has been suggested to me. Since i did well on the Imuran they have not watned to change anything. Thank you for the warm welcome, i really want people to relate to thank you

Welcome to the forum!! We are all here for you hun. I'm sorry about the additional problems. They are scared I may have the start of cervical cancer on top of my Crohns. I sit and cry a lot. Haha. I think we all do from time to time. We are here when you need a good vent.

I am doing ok, starting the throwing up, and the Pred. dose today i hate that stuff so much. Its only the 5 day one, but i never react well to it.
