I have always had high platelets, even several years before my diagnosis of crohns. The normal range is 150-450 and my platelet count is usually around 550. Does anyone else have high platelets and does your dr express any concern about this? I have just been told they are high, but it's not alarming. I did have a hemmroidectomy surgery and had bleeding of blood clots afterward which scared me. I have recently seen there is some heart risk associated w crohns and so this does concern me.
