Hello everyone!! Hope everyone is doing well. :) I'm back with another question! I'm sorry if there is already a thread like this but I couldn't find it.

My boyfriend has had crohns for a while now buy after the long term prednisone use, he was diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the femoral head a couple months ago. Considering he's only 23, we do NOT want to do a surgical replacement. We learned about this other virtually noninvasive procedure offered by the Florida center for regenerative medicine. It is stem cell therapy to help the bone heal. It sounds perfect but we just don't know. Does anyone know anything about this or has had any experience with such things? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Here's the link to the website: http://www.stemcellforpain.com/stem-cell-therapy/hip/osteonecrosis

And a link to a video on how the procedure works: http://youtu.be/aw7crjzok20

Let me know what you guys think or if you know of any other options! Thanks sooooo much in advance!! :)

This is the only section on the forum (with links included) that I can think of that talks about stem cell treatment but I don't see anything specific for Avascular necrosis. http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=22259
I hope he finds a treatment that works for him so he can start feeling better. Keep us posted. :)
