Hives Explanation

Turns out my daughter's hives are actually a raised rash that bruises - it is called Erythema Nodosum. Our doctor said it is a symptom of IBD. She is also still struggling to kick this Sinus Infection, therefore, we will begin a 5 day "steroid burst". The doctor said the only side effects may be irritability and increased hunger. We go back in two weeks and if there is not any pain relief, we will have to switch to Remicade.

My daughter has what looks like EN as well. The first biopsy showed possible EN or vasculitis. We are still waiting for the results of the second biopsy.

When she was on Prednisone she finally had relief from the painful lumps. I hope it brings relief to your daughter as well!

Hope the pred burst works for her, we did the burst and didn't have any of the side effects Yeah!
