How to make a long story short.
Was on Humara every two weeks when I saw my GI doc for severe stomach pain last August. Had esophogeal spasms that mimic a heart attack and if you have ever had them you know how painful they are. They literally lasted for hours. He bumped Humira up to every week which gave me horrible 5 day migraines I told him I could not live with.
He ordered an endoscpy and since I hadn't had a colonoscopy for 3 years, he ordered one too. Woke up twice during endoscopy, pulled the endoscope out of my mouth while half awake and caused a tear that had me in severe pain for weeks.
Two weeks after the tests I still hadn't heard anything so I called him. I was in tears from the spasms when I called and he yelled at me by saying there was no pill that could make me feel better. Then he hung up.
That pissed me off. I still didn't know the results of the test and didn't know what to do so I stopped eating for 3 days then started the SCD diet and threw my Humira into the garbage. Figuratively that is.
A friend recommended an MD who is also an naturopath. I made an appt. But have had to wait 4 months to get in and it is cash only to the tune of 250.00 for the first visit.
She wanted to see something from my doc w/a diagnosis. His nurse sent him the results of the endoscopy which was severe gastritis, dueodenal ulcer, hiatal hernia, and ileitis. For the colonoscopy there were ulcers at the rectum which explains the bleeding I'd been having.
I lost it. I know I need a new doc, but I live in a tiny town and do not have much to choose from. In fact he is in with the only other 2 gastros in town.
*sigh*
So, four months later, my stomach is much improved with diet, not all the way, but better that being curled in a ball all day. I am still having issues with blood, mucus, and cramps. Oh and diarrhea 6-10 times daily. I am keeping up with my vitamins so I am not feeling jittery or too sick. I subsist mostly on green smoothies and meat/beans as tolerated. I have lost a significant amount of weight of between 30-40 pounds.
My question is this, since I know nothing about naturopaths and am flying by the seat of my pants, is there anything I should ask or watch out for during this appt.? I was feeling pretty good about this until a friend told me the doc sticks your hand into a machine that will tell you what you are deficient in
That popped my bubble and I am thinking to just suck it up and go see my doc.
Any thoughts?

Trying the natural method that's not working so well right now. I DO NOT recommend this to anyone.
