Hi,
I am new to this forum and joined really to get some support and find out how other people handle their disease. I was diagnosed 11 years ago and have been pretty well throughout apart from 3 major flare ups ending up in hospital. My last flare up started about 2 years ago and I was extremely unwell for a long time. Had to give up work and just felt so terrible. I started on Infliximab on January and it has been amazing. The best treatment I have ever had. However I have just gone back to work full time which means I am sitting down alot during the day. I feel like I am going backwards extremely tired with a very sore swollen stomach every day. Does anyone have any advice on how to work with this condition.
Thanks
Moira

Hi Moira and welcome! I'm pleased you found your way here. As you're on Infliximab, be sure to check out our Remicade support forum which might provide you some insight into your question.

I wish you nothing but the best and hope to see you around :)

Hi Moira and welcome! It isn't easy working full time when you aren't feeling well. I have a desk job, and sitting all day can do a toll on my bum! On bad days, I just make a point to get up each hour and stroll around the office for a few minutes. This does help a bit. Also, the bathroom is right next to my office, which is very helpful. But even when I am feeling pretty good, I still have days when I come home and feel totally wiped out. Last night I passed out on the couch at 7:30pm! But I just try to push through and keep in mind the next day will be better.
