So, in re-starting sulfasalazine 3x per day (which also means going back on folic acid) as well as the inhaler 2x a day and of course back on the Zyrtec, I needed some motivation (as did my little one!) Well, I am a graphic designer IRL, so I developed a weekly meds sticker chart that has been really fun for both of us. :) I thought maybe other parents could benefit from it, too -- so I whipped up a new blog and posted it there.

So I am having fun with the idea of this new blog -- supporting parents of kids with health challenges. And I want to design other items that would be of use, so I thought maybe I'd ask you all!?

I know FW talked about decorating little Grace's tower -- is there something I could make for kids for that? Or other incentive sheets? Or maybe journal pages to print out and use to track symptoms, or whatever? Let me know! I'd be happy to do it!

Oh and if you want the medicine sheet or to see the blog it is at www.poseyplays.com. Not a lot yet but just having fun!

That's cute. What a great idea. Can't think of anything right now but I will definitely put some thought into it.

OK, thanks! Usually if I can find an "art" aspect to something it helps me keep my head in the game. :) I am hoping I can help other kids and families at the same time!

Just printed the page, very cute. :thumleft: Love the idea!
I couldn't get it to fit a full sheet. I'll have to play with it a bit more.
I'll try to take a pic of Grace's tower. I think you could make things to brighten sick kids days.:rosette2:

So glad you like it! I will try saving it a bit differently so it prints better. :) I saw your pix -- SO great! I am going to see what I can whip up. :)

Thats awesome! What a great idea! I did some hand made (read- total crap lol) sheets when Devynn was first diagnosed and taking meds. Med time was total chaos and tears for us. But now, 3 years later things are MUCH better. We did the fill a sheet and get a small treat, blood draws were a bigger treat and actual procedures (scopes etc) were something like a Webkinz. She is doing much better with taking meds and going for blood etc now, so I don't really have to coax her as much. We still do a small treat (usually a donut or something) if she has a blood draw or procedure.

Thanks Dusty & Devynsmom! I am so excited you all like the idea! It makes me more excited, too. :) I added a Sights & Sounds of Nature Checklist this morning. :) And a teeny tiny rant about the term Functional Gut as well as constipation in general. Ha, ha! See, our allergist said that a 20 minute walk a day would help our little one's constipation. I of course know it is not a cure-all, but I do love the concept of a walk everyday -- just for fresh air or connecting with the girls, etc. So if you want the checklist pop on over! www.poseyplays.com. Thanks again for all of the encouragement -- you all are the best!
